Aki on West 4th (Featuring my roll ingredient rant!)

I highly recommend Aki for those with the means to try it, and I highly recommend one or two of their rolls once in a while for the casual diner as well. I would love to try more of Aki’s menu options, and maybe someday I will. For now, though, I will remember the Jamaica roll fondly as I attempt to cook jerk chicken and wrap it up into a sheet of nori and rice myself. I fear the results of this experiment, however, knowing full well that I will never recreate the flavors that Aki’s sushi bar gave me on that strange, random, and fantastic night.
