In the end, I enjoyed my meal at Watawa so much, that it will soon stand out as one of my more frequented restaurants in New York. I love the salads and soups, I thought the cooked sushi was some of the best I’ve had on the East Coast, and the sashimi stands up to the best as well. If Watawa would only learn that slightly less freshness is still better than salty fish, then I would probably hail this restaurant in my top ten all-time best. As it stands, Watawa is a great place to spend an evening in Astoria, and one of the best places to eat cheap and delicious sushi in the city.
